Ashley J. Sherwood grew up in Casey, Illinois, and graduated from Casey-Westfield Jr-Sr High School in May 2017. She attended Indiana University from 2017-2021 where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics
Ashley J. Sherwood grew up in Casey, Illinois, and graduated from Casey-Westfield Jr-Sr High School in May 2017. She attended Indiana University from 2017-2021 where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science and a minor in Psychology.
Ashley attended Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and earned her Juris Doctor degree and a graduate certificate in Criminal Law in May 2024. During law school, Ashley worked during her summers as a law clerk at
and Political Science and a minor in Psychology.

She was the Student Bar Association representative of the Criminal Law Association, the Awards and Scholarship Chair of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and she was a member of the Dean’s Tutorial Society. Ashley was also a recipient of the Illinois State Bar Association Rural Practice Fellowship in 2022.
